Operational Update - The one where we OPEN!!!

Dear Members,

We are pleased to announce that, upon the lifting of the stay-at-home order and the return of Peel Region to the Grey Level next week, the Club will be reopening our lifts and slopes for skiing and snowboarding! The Club will re-open, weather permitting, on Wednesday, March 10th. Lifts will operate daily from 8:30 am until 4:00 pm. Please check the website for daily conditions and updates.

We have revised the operating schedule for March and early April to provide you with a greater opportunity to enjoy the Club. We encourage you to take advantage of the additional days as things may continue to change in the coming weeks with the colour framework and the Government’s pandemic response.

Click Here for the revised operating schedule for March and April 2021

Guest Reservations – There will be no guest access on Wednesday or Thursday, March 10 & 11.

Guest access for an immediate, non-Member family will begin on Friday, March 12, 2021.
Reservations will be required in advance for all guest ticket purchases. Unfortunately, walk-up reservations will not be available. Reservations will open up in two-week blocks beginning today.

Our parking attendants will be verifying guest names on the reservation list upon arrival at the Club.

If you are feeling unwell or experiencing COVID symptoms, please do not visit the Club.

Lift Ticket Purchases - All reserved guests must check-in and pick-up their tickets from the West Lodge ticket window. Debit and/or credit card payment strongly encouraged and appreciated.

Arrival - Please ensure you have your RFID cards available upon arrival at the parking area.  Drivers must ensure that they have a mask on prior to interacting with our staff.

At this time, we would like to remind you that everyone must follow all protocols for safe operations at all times. Our staff will be here to remind you we are a community and we all have a shared responsibility to ensure that everyone feels comfortable and safe when at the Club.

Upon re-opening, we are anticipating the Ministry of Labour and Health Inspectors to arrive at the Club to perform spot inspections. As such, we ask that everyone follow the Club’s protocols at all times to ensure the Club remains compliant and is able to continue to operate.

Physical Distancing - Members and individuals at the Club must follow physical distancing at all times and ensure that they are a minimum of 2m or 6 feet away from anyone who is not from their immediate household. Congregating in any area is not permitted including out front of lodges, decks, lifts, washrooms or in our parking areas.

Masks - Masks that cover the nose, mouth, and chin must be worn at all times when on Club property including the parking areas, lodges and locker areas, lift lines and lifts, as well as the rink unless you are in a remote area of the Club and will not be in proximity to others.  Masks do become wet in the outdoor environment; we recommend that you bring several with you each day and change them when they become wet.

Waivers - Please ensure that you have completed your Winter Waivers and Health Attestations for all family members, including children, before arriving at the Club.  More details can be found in the section below.  If you have not picked up your RFID card, please ensure that you do so as soon as possible. We will communicate our plan for pick-up next week.  For your convenience, however, if you wish to pick-up your RFID cards this weekend, the West Lodge Ticket Window is open from 8:30 am to 4 pm on Saturday and Sunday, as well as from Tuesday, March 9 onwards. Members who do not have their RFID card in their possession will not be permitted access to the Club after March 19th.

Health Attestation - Please ensure that you have reviewed the particulars of your Health Attestation for all family members daily before you visit the Club.  Our staff will be present in the parking areas and will confirm your Health Attestation before you park your car.

If you are feeling unwell or experiencing COVID symptoms, please do not visit the Club.

COVID-19 Self-Assessment

Chairlifts - The Club has a new chairlift protocol as mandated by Provincial Law. Individuals from the same household will be permitted to ride the lifts together. Individuals not from the same household will be permitted to ride the chair with an empty seat in between.

It is of utmost importance that families ride and ski together to enable us to provide the greatest uphill capacity and to limit the length of the lines at the chairlifts. The Club will have to restrict access based on capacity if our lift lines are longer than 10 minutes. Riding together on the chairs with members from your household will allow for the maximum number of people on each chair and will thus keep our lines to a minimum. Please review this request with all members of your household before arriving at the Club.

Locker Rooms - Locker areas will be open for storage of equipment only.  Please do not use these areas for changing. Each locker area will have a posted capacity and they must be followed at all times. One person per family will be permitted in locker areas to retrieve equipment. Masks are mandatory indoors at all times.

Washrooms - Washrooms are available indoors at the Lower Level of the West Lodge, the ground floor of the Main Lodge as well as external washrooms at the West Deck, West Lodge, and Skating Rink.

Food & Beverage - Caledon’s food and beverage department is currently closed.  Food and Beverage may not be consumed anywhere onsite except for in your vehicle with other members of your household.  Alcohol may not be consumed onsite. Although other Clubs and ski areas are able to offer this service at this time, unfortunately, we cannot under the current public health restrictions for our area, the Region of Peel.

We are hoping to provide some spring BBQ service at the Club when Peel Region enters a less restrictive colour level.

Programming - Recreational and Alpine programming may not take place onsite at this time.  Although other Clubs and ski areas are able to offer this service at this time, unfortunately, we cannot under the current public health restrictions for our area, the Region of Peel.

Skating - The Rink will continue to operate, weather permitting on the Club’s operating days only from 9am until 9pm by reservation only.  Please respect the ice surface and refrain from using the rink when marked closed to enable us to rehabilitate the surface quickly. The Rink has the capacity of 17 Members per 1 hour time slot and masks are mandatory.

Other Activities – Please remember that the Club continues to offer hiking and snowshoeing on our trail network as well as cross country skiing on our loop, Ice Stock and disc golf in the field beside the rink.

Please stay tuned for further communications as we continue our preparations. Our team is looking forward to seeing those smiling eyes above your masks next week!
