Operational Update

While it is hard to believe that we are two weeks into the province wide shut down it is reassuring to know that ski resort operators and Provincial Ministers continue to work together to be able to allow us to safely re-open on Saturday January 23, 2021.

Caledon is pleased to be able to offer its Members some safe activities that can be enjoyed with your household in accordance with Public Health guidelines.  If you do plan to travel outside of your community to make use of the Club during the shutdown, please access the activities via the West Lodge.  Snowshoeing, ice stock, skating, disc golf and hiking are available, as well as tobogganing, which will begin today on Roadrunner only.  Our parking attendants will greet you and confirm that you have completed your online Health Attestation and will take your name for contact tracing purposes.

Reminder – to assist our staff, when visiting the Club, please be sure to wear your Member Badge with your 2021 validation sticker.

Masks are mandatory in all areas where Members are within 2m or 6 feet of those who are not part of their household, including the parking lot, around the lodges, ice rink and ice stock and busier snowshoe trail sections.

The Club’s Operations team continues their snowmaking efforts to ensure adequate terrain when restrictions lift.  As such, it is imperative for your safety and per Government restrictions that we remind you that use of the Alpine trails is prohibited, with the exception of the lower part of Roadrunner which is available for tobogganing only.  Grooming continues to take place and ongoing snowmaking makes for an extremely dangerous working environment as trail conditions will be varied, rough and unpredictable.

We remind you that tobogganing is only permitted on the lower section of Roadrunner. Please click here to read the tobogganing rules and click here to see how to safely access the tobogganing area

Snowshoeing and hiking trails are accessible at this time, but please ensure the use of appropriate spikes or crampons as the conditions along the way are varied and unpredictable with daily changes in the weather. Please check the Club’s website for condition updates before heading out and click here to visit Caledon’s safety page.

If you have left equipment in your locker that you wish to access, please email  memberservices@caledonskiclub.on.ca to make arrangements for pick-up.  We will require at least 48-hours’ notice to have your items brought to the West Lodge Office.

Skiis & Biikes at Caledon remains closed during the shutdown, but if you require any assistance, please contact Avery at avery@skiisandbiikes.com

On behalf of all of us at the Club, we hope you are continuing to enjoy the outdoors as much as possible with your family.
