As the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ontario are increasing, the Board, along with Management, have agreed it is prudent to close the Club for the season at 4:00 p.m. today to prioritize the health and safety of our Members, Guests and Employees. To be clear, the Club has not been informed of any Members, Guests or Employees having tested positive for COVID-19. The Club continues to ask that any Member who tests positive contact the Club confidentially so that we are aware of the facts with respect to their presence at the Club. This decision has been made in an effort to uphold public health philosophy of minimizing social gatherings to reduce any transmission of the COVID-19 virus to Members, Guests and Employees. The Club thanks everyone for understanding this difficult decision and wish to pass on our thanks for the ongoing support through these developing times.
We have, to date, had a very successful year and we hope that you enjoyed what was an exceptional season for the Club. I am proud of the organization's efforts over the last several days as we have navigated these challenging waters. We want everyone to remain safe and recognize this a stressful time for everyone. Thank you again for your cooperation in this matter. We will be in touch over the coming days with further details on off season office hours and locker building access.
Sincerely, Craig MacDonald Katherine Tremble-Taylor General Manager Board Chair Caledon Ski Club
